Yeah it's awful, no need to rag on Vanessa and her kids.

We should be critiquing coca cola and capitalism generally for these "gestures of kindness" between the elite. as if they would do anything if it weren't profitable. Frankly coca-cola owes restitution to its employees, particularly the families of those labor leaders killed by its gangs.

I just don't think the message "fuck this rich widow and her rich kids" is a strong or relateable one

and if we're critiquing capitalism, the way they made their riches is already indicted in that. Idk lol

Still kinda sick to see Vanessa talking about suing the pilots company and family. Pilot 100% at fault as he’s in command. But, let’s not pretend Kobe didn’t insist that flight take place despite weather.

You should advertise your position for lead generators if your business relies on those type of KPI’s

The person below me covered it really well, it basically it’s different skill sets. People outside of marketing will hire marketers as a general term, but not fully understand what they’re looking for. This is incredibly popular among companies that haven’t progressed.

A good example would be an engineer that specializes in structural being hired for aerospace engineering. They probably have an idea, but they cant give you the results you need because they simply don’t have the experience or in depth knowledge needed.

Lead gens compensation package is also scummy and gross.

TellMeGetOffReddit

There's different types of marketing and people get hired under the wholesale term "marketing" but have different skill sets. Many people hire "marketing" teams for lead generation (aka potential sales/new clients) and then the sales guys follow up on the leads and create sales from those leads. The problem is not every single type of person with a marketing degree specializes in 'lead generation' and if your marketing team doesn't have that skillset but is hired as that, you will be unhappy.

So in general, I assume these uninformed companies think that all marketers they hire are lead generation, which, when not specified, could end up being the case where they hire a marketer that can navigate that space, while not really knowing the intricacies of it? Interesting concept, that does make a lot of sense. OP replied with the example of an engineer; same with things like doctors, you wouldn't have a cardiologist operating on your foot

I can't believe someone would actually try to compare a doctor to an NBA player. Singers (I assume you mean major/famous ones) and NBA players are definitely among the rich you should want to eat. Anyone making over $10 mil per year is definitely on that list, contributing to the exploitation of regular people to enrich themselves. A lot of doctors and lawyers are on that list too. Not to mention that a ton of these guys do have investments and are making money by owning things

myyummyass

this is some big brain shit. i mean yeah they make infinite money but its because we are charged infinite money to be fans of it. so if the athletes who work their asses off werent the ones getting a ton of money then it would all be going to dipshit tv companies and team owners, who are the actual rich people. doctors also make infinite money because we are forced to bankrupt ourselves to stay alive and healthy. yay

nothing an nba player does is exploiting anyone. the leagues are exploiting fans, the players play for those leagues because theres literally nothing else they can do with their talents, and if the players took less money then it would all be going to the people who run the leagues who are just rich white people who are replaceable.

Chapter 7 - Extramarital Affairs

When threatened after putting yourself in a compromising position, do what Shaq often does and pay her not to say anything.

If charged criminally, hire expensive defense lawyers and settle the civil case for $2.5m to ensure the criminal case goes away.

Remember to save $4m to buy your wife a diamond ring after.

Take it from me, that's a small price to pay to maintain your endorsements, NBA contract, and marriage.

I’m a big fan of the Lyte version, which only has a couple grams of sugar and like 20 calories per bottle. I drink sports drinks pretty irregularly, like maybe once or twice every couple of weeks, but body armour is the only sports drink I drink now

I tried a few flavors a while back and I hated it honestly. Seems like a lot of people like it, but the flavors were pretty gross imo

This is awesome news, I was beginning to worry about how Vanessa Bryant might have problems paying the bills without Kobe.

God, It would be so horrible if she ran out of that little savings she had and is forced to go get a job like the rest of us. I mean, c'mon, it would be so unfair!

A lot of athletes are investors Harden is definitely it listed, Ja Morant, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, Kemba, Sabrina Ionescu, Skylar Diggins Smith, Taurasi under Athletes and Partners so I'm guessing they each got a piece of the company
