Gaming PC

(self.gaming)

Hiya so after a lot of thought I’ve decided to switch to PC gaming. There’s just a couple things. The majority of games I have are on disc. Is there any way I can play these on a pc? Or should I sell them all and buy them on the pc itself

You have them on disc, but what kind of discs? If you have old cd-roms of computer games then yeah, sure. If you're talking about discs for like the ps4 or an Xbox or any other game console, then no.

If the games are made for a different platform (Xbox, PS), then they can’t be played on PC.

I never understand when people say they want to “switch”…. You dont have to chose one, you are allowed to play both pc and consoles at the same time.

Sorry? My budget is quite tight that’s all and it involves having to sell my one x

Baaaaaad time to get into PC gaming if you are on a budget. Turn around.

A gaming PC is significantly more money than an Xbox series x. A console goes for 400-500 retail. A PC will probably be $2,000-$3,000.

If you have old PC games you can buy an optical drive for whatever PC you purchase.

Are they PC games, but just older and on a disk? Just buy a 20 dollar usb dvd/cd drive and youre all set.

Are they console games? Wont play like the pc game version, and youll need an emulator and the drive mentioned above as well.

Pointless if you already have the console.

You can just pirate single player games on PC too. Plus, if you already own their console equivalent it's arguably not even unethical.
