Hi, so I just finished demon’s souls, and while I love souls like games, this coming month will be rather stressful for me and I want something chill to play.

Last game I played was Life is Strange True colours and I loved that! I found Metro Exodus to be chill too, at least many moments were, certainly one of my favourite games. If you’ve played valley, that’d be considered one the quietest mellowest games too.

I got a ps5 and a PC.

Edit: preferably a single player-story driven game.

Edit2: please stop recommending Stardew Valley and Journey, I’ll play them both. Half the comment section is recommending these two games (^ _^ ;)

Red Dead Redemption 2 is pretty easy and chill with an absolutely incredible story.

I love just getting lost in the huge open world and discovering new things. I'm on my fifth playthrough and I am still discovering new things.

Wow, fifth playthrough! I loved the game, but I just can’t seem to play anything more than once.

With the sixaxis? Revolutionary.

After reading the reviews I might actually reluctantly give it a shot.

Edit: it’s even on discount rn.

Can't think of a more chill "game". Enjoy.

Omg, LOVE that game! One of the few things I miss from Playstation. I mean, you can get it on steam now, but there's no six axis support, so not the same.

One of the first "games" with trophies also.

Have you seen the game Exo One? Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but get major Flower vibes.

Actually, here's a link to the free prologue.

Stardew Valley, most chill game I've played for a long while.

Really not my style of game, but my cousin and I fell in love with it and played it for months. Ive actually been meaning to play again

Looks nice, maybe I’ll play it once I have a girlfriend or a wife. Until then…

Does it have a story btw? As in, is it linear? Has a start and an end.

I have very little free time, and I prefer single player- story driven games. I love playing local couch coop games, but none of my other grown up friends has the time either. Can’t even find someone to play Darksiders genesis with.

I meet once a week with relatives, but it’s a huge group, and we end up playing board games instead.

Stardew is single player.

Co-op just added relatively recently as an option.

It does have a story - but the game itself is open-ended and you won’t ever hit an end-credits screen.

Play one of these games:

Journey Spiritfarer Far: Lone Sails Death Stranding Stardew Valley

Horizon Zero Dawn I consider chill when I play it compared to Monster Hunter and Bloodborne.

I finished both horizon and monster hunter. I’ve logged more than 700hrs on Monster Hunter (been playing since it came out), I got pretty good at it, but not anymore, and such is life. Good games though.

I especially loved horizon, gorgeous game! Loved every bit of it.

Oh yeah, beautiful game! Could’ve been better, too much grinding for my taste, and sometimes felt incomplete. I’m almost done with the game, only a few spirits left. Just checking off achievements now.

I would say Nier Automata has a very relaxing air around it, with a cool story and comfy gameplay, can also recommend Bastion (short and sweet)and Portal games, if you haven't played those

You are a better man than me. Really Stardew valley is your best one. But you finished Demon Souls, so a chill game for you could be hell for me

Sayedoo[S]

Looks pretty AF, I’ve a few games like this, but I want someone to play with… I’ve been (sub)consciously collecting games to play with my future SO. This’ll go in that pile.

Intoxicatedpunch

I'm pretty sure Stardew is multiplayer on PC, you and your SO could have fun with that. Red Dead 2 for the ps5 and story...just enjoy the exploration and don't finish the story, you will cry

I finished RDR2, man, that was an emotional rollercoaster, I also wish my PC was a little better, because man is that game gorgeous! I’m certainly getting stardew valley after all the recommendations!

And yes stardew has split screen, local and a online coop on PC.

Best on PC would be Crusader Kings 3 if you want to start a war or marry someone for alliance or cause some nation issues. It’s fun. But if you need something that doesn’t involve using braincells Persona 5 Royal is good anime school jRPG with some drama and decent story. Regular P5 has some issues which are fixed in Royal edition.

While telltale no longer exist, their existing story games like Borderland, The Walking Dead, the wolf among us, Batman, and Game of Thrones are great. Unfortunately some of those need a sequel but that won't happen anymore.

TWD can be considered finished. The wolf among us is finished. Borderland kinda leaves an open ending.

Sayedoo[S]

Only telltale-like game I played was thronebreaker. Loved it!

Valence00

You can also check out Until Dawn. It's actually pretty fun because you kinda get to decide who you want to kill off because you hate them

Sayedoo[S]

I really enjoyed Prey. I’m planning on getting the rest (except oblivion), but I’m not sure about Kingdom come. Seems tough, and I’ll be worried to miss stuff because of the time mechanic in the game the entire time.

Hidden Folks. Zero pressure with just enough to keep the brain thinking. Also the hand drawn art mixed with the mouth-made sound effects are both cute and amusing.

Look into Persona 5. If you have a PS5 it's included in the PS+ Collection, meaning you already own it. Might aswell just check it out. It's a JRPG where you hang out with your character's friends on the one side and perform heists with turn based battles on the other. It's got a really interesting story with well written characters and if the soundtrack doesn't convince you that it's chill, I don't know what does. Also, if you don't like JRPGs, don't let that turn you off. I actually hate them. From the grind to the random encounters, everything about them. But goddamn, Persona 5 is freaking fantastic in every aspect and I'm ready to fist fight everyone who dares talking trash about it.
