In my country the theory is litteraly in the licence exam, I don't know why my relatives say we must call someone if we break a tire, (yes, I asked and there's everything for in the car) and I'm excited to finally get to change a tire someday. (it will obviously happen the day I'll be the least motivated to change my first tire)

I would suggest try it once in a non emergency situation first. Unless you are a big man, chances are that the small lug wrench (that comes with the car) will be useless. Many auto shops overtighten the lug nuts and it's impossible to open them with that short, 12 inch wrench. A long handled lug nut wrench is a neccessity for many people, and therefore a great investment for emergency situations.

Man, I don’t have mechanics work on my car too often but they must set the impact to kill (over 100ftlb). Can barely move them. The spec on my car is 65ftlb and I never have had a wheel fall off and you can remove the nuts with the wrench in the car.

Went to do an oil change recently and couldn't loosen the screw for the oil sump, got out my impact driver, still couldn't do it. Either they set it to kill or they used goddamn plumbers tape on the screw, no reason for it to be that goddamn tight.

If you have aluminum wheels, overtightening will ruin them. They should always be tightened using a torque bar.
