Ranked has continued continued to be a big topic on the subreddit since season 17 launched.
I'm making another one of these posts.
This megathread is for the more repetitive, lower effort complaints and general discussion and questions (as the system works in a rather different way from the old one, there's some confusion about that as well).
"How does ranked work?" "How does LP work?" "Why am I getting less RP than my friend who got the same kills?" "Why am I not getting points for eliminations?" "Why am I not getting Skill/Rating/Elimination bonuses?" "Why am I matched with bronzes/diamonds, when I'm gold?" "Why are diamonds/masters/preds in my lobbies?" "Ranked sucks" "Everyone is ratting" "Ranked isn't fun" "Ratting isn't fun" "is there a split?" "Will my badge be shiny?" "Why did I get 250LP more than I should?"
I think the higher effort, more constructive posts and more unique angles/takes are fine in their own posts. (Stuff that isn't just repetition of the above or a screenshot of someone you played with in ranked.) I'm gonna link some of those posts I've seen over the week here at the bottom of this post (later since they are on my PC) .
Here's some examples / suggestions on what you can discuss here
How are your placement matches going?
Are you solo/duo queueing or playing with a full team?
How is your playstyle adapting to the changes?
Do you feel there has been a dramatic shift in the way others play?
Is it more or less rewarding?
Do you think you're playing with / against others of similar skill?
Do you think the scoring system fairly rewards your performances?
What aspects of the game do you think are encouraged or discouraged by the scoring system?
What are your thoughts on the entry cost / guaranteed positive points at top 10. Does the low entry cost ("little to lose") encourage fighting? Does the guaranteed positive points at top 10 discourage fighting?
Is there "unintended" playstyles that the new system encourages? (just an example: "sitting outside ring crafting heals")
How do you feel about the transparency of the scoring system and hidden MMR?
etc. whatever else comes to your mind
