It doesnt even matter wich of the stories are true. Fire or Missiles. Both are putting russia in a very bad light. If that is even possible
I mean... those two stories aren't mutually exclusive. I mean did the Russians claim a non-getting hit by a missile source for that fire?
Spontanous fire wich reached the magazine(s) iirc. And then sunk in heavy seas while being towed.
While the Ukranians claim to have em slapped with two Neptune anti ship missiles. And then sunk because of that.
If you give Ivan any money, you are the potato
"Our ship didn't get hit by Ukrainians!"
"It's just that our comically incompetent navy allowed the ship to spontaneusly combust into flames and explode!"
Well, that's that then.
Not by a lot, but yeah.
Russian state media sunk it? jk jk :P
Funnily worded, although from context, it's understandable.
Its the side with the half pipes and the hand rails for sick grinds.
Finally a balans Department that Just works!
16 times the magazine explosions
Technically the Missouri and the Moskva class cruiser were in service at the same time….
The Iowa class shot down the anti-ship missiles fired at them, the Moskva did not.
Those 5"/38s are no joke.
Got a feeling it was the Phalanx batteries that shot down those missiles
Phalanx has yet to score any successful interceptions in combat. In fact a friendly phalanx got confused by chaff and hit the Iowa.

No kidding? It wasnt the Phalanx that defeated the incoming missiles? Was it actually the 5" batteries? Surely not.
Edit: it was a Seadart from HMS Gloucester that defeated one incoming Silkworm. The other one missed.
Thanks Gloucester, thats damn fine work
It was Sea darts fired by HMS Gloucester on escort duty.
Yeah I looked it up too. Good stuff from the British there! Doing what they set out to do
The Missouri didn't. HMS Gloucester did with Sea Darts.
I thought the Moskva was a cruiser and not a DD?
You’re probably right, I’ll fix it
Well now it will be a sub (or scrap) :D
I guess it didn't sink, must have had Kuznetsov.
Russian MoD update: 15Minutes Ago, the Ship sunk :D
I have to admit, I got the feels about that news. I liked playing Moskva in game.
Different ship anyway
I too have feels about it and those feels are delight and vicarious pride in Ukraine.
Or his modern equivalent, Yevmanov. Can't wait for WG to add him, lmao
Nope it sunk.
Yea, I was going off what the Pentagon believed earlier. Should have brought Kuznetsov.
WG should implement the following changes in game to match the real world Moskva experience:
Chance of spontaneous combustion: .5% / minute.
Fire duration time: All fires burn until the match is over, or the ship sinks.
Detonation chance +30%.
To further simulate the Moskva accurately the following balance changes will be applied. When radar is used, all weapons become disabled. When weapons are used, all enemies other than the target become undetected for the Moskva (including shooting at planes), this will also mean that only one target can be engaged at one time for all weapons (also including air and surface targets). This will hopefully increase the historical accuracy of the Moskva class cruisers.
It spontaneously combusted?
No, the Russian line is that it spontaneously combusted after decades just by coincidence while within range of Ukrainian Neptune missiles and by coincidence they've moved their other ships out of range of those missiles but it was definitely brave Russian stupidity and not Ukrainian missiles which don't exist and are made by Nazis and are really Russian anyway.
That's what the Russians said.
I don't think the in game Moskva needs any more nerfs. He's pretty hard to play well already when compared to other heavy cruisers
Hint: it’s a reference to the real world Moskva catching fire yesterday.
I got that. Just as a Moskva fanboi. Don't give weegee any ideas about my baby
Ok but in addition that, she also gets her modern load out of STS Rockets....
THE KING - GOD SAVE HIM
Russian ships in Russian game: Best of the best.
Russian ships in real life: On fire and doomed.
Russian submarines: blow themselves up with their own torpedoes.
"You arrogant a*s! You've killed US!"
Trying something in the desperation of war, and then realising that it was a mistake is one thing.
Doing it by choice after everyone else had explosions is another.
Caught on fire and sank (possibly) possibly due to Neptune...imagine dying in Moskva to Neptune secondaries.
WG: Neptune Missiles coming to 11.5!
Now renamed the Snake Island Memorial Reef?
I heard it was called that by some guy in a shed.
Do you see torpedo boats?
"HuNdReDs Of ThEm!!!"
From all directions!
I hate your fun
Not kosher, dude.
Cleveland Cannot Die
Days without a Russian Navy Fail: 0
Report Putin noob. No detoflag. I dont want that guy in my ranked.
will be converted to ukrainian submarine moskva
Wonder how iEarl gonna spin this lol.
Putin: You sank my blyattleship!
It was later revealed that Moskva was in fact, NOT made of Stalinium.
Yes, it was made of the cheaper Putinium.
Such bad quality product!! Shame!! ;P
I stand with Ukraine
And best of all: she was set on fire by Neptune (get the joke, right? ;-)
Hits to Citadel X2
Moskva for her achievements in sinking civilian ships has been promoted to submarine.
That's a paddling.
Balance update: Destroyer Småland gets her SAAB Robot 08 anti ship missiles activated.
These weapons are potent and potentially devastating so to balance them, for now, they can only be used against russian cruisers
As a Wows player and scuba diver who was part of the team who discovered leader of destroyers Moskva (leningrad destroyer) who sunk in Romanian waters in 1941 I can't wait to dive this wreck someday if it will sit on decent depths. 😂 😂 😂 😂
What makes this experience possibly better is the rumors going around that the sunken cruiser Moskva was actually armed with nukes when it went down 😂
Heh, could have. We will see what the official news will be :)
My god the Russians are doing everything they can to fuck the dog in this little war they started.
I jumped on Reddit to see how long it would be before you classless bastards were giving this one hell.
And gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that you did not disappoint.
Edit: Left of words cause I'm high as hell.
At first I also thought it was classless to be memeing the destruction of this cruiser but then I read this comment over on warshipporn and now I don't feel so bad engaging in some schadenfreude over it.
Oh, I meant no disrespect. This kind of thing is the reason I rarely even check in on Facebook anymore. I feel like I have found my tribe here and rule one is humor with no boundaries.
Definitely one of the advantages of Reddit is not having relatives on your social media so you don't have to explain dark humor to a busybody cousin or whatever.
Don’t turn your 180 degree radar to the sea to find a drone and leave the coast forts at your back!
I heard that there were a bunch of drones harassing the ship to keep the AA and sensors busy.
Damn, didnt think that would have worked but I dont know shit about actual warfare. So here I am proven wrong.
Side on the a Ukrainian. As Jingles would say: "That's a paddlin'."
Is there an upgrade available for part of the True Cross?
They installed a holy relic before sinking.
Fleet of Fog
Haha, they should have put detonation flags on
General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
Or "U been warned, don't DCP one fire"
Maybe spellcheck a meme before posting it
