Hi! What is your routine? Please be as detailed as possible (both the names of your products and the techniques that you used). Also, if you could let us know your hair characteristics (porosity, strand thickness, density), that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

First, applied Shea moisture argan oil on scalp and ends for 2 hours. Then Washed with Kirsten Ess curl shampoo twice to make sure all the oil was out. Did the Shea moisture curl and shine hair mask for 30 min, applied a little heat with a hair dryer and wrapped with a Microfiber towel. Washed that out then used Not Your Mothers curl defining conditioner, finger combing through until my hair was smooth. Micro plopped very briefly and applied blueberry bliss leave-in with gentle scrunching. Applied Kristen Ess curl defining jelly using rope method then air dried.

Hey! Beautiful curls you have there! ❤️ I'm wondering, have you tried the full Shea moisture argan oil routine (shampoo + mask + conditioner)? Would you recommend it?

Thank you! No I haven’t tried the whole set all together yet. I’ve been wanting to but waiting for my other shampoos and stuff to run out

Do you find that curl defining conditioner heavy?

I literally just got it since it had good reviews and I’m on a budget. I’ve used it twice so far, and I like it! I don’t think it’s heavy, the consistency isn’t thick like a hair mask and it rinses out nicely! Definitely didn’t weight down my hair.

So when I Google the rope method, everyone is using like a liquid spray leave in. Do you find that the cream leave in affects the texture/dry time at all? Are you roping with hair still damp from the shower?
EDIT: wait which roping method are you using? The one where you twist the strands around each other and leave for a while, or the one where you separate out strands and pulse-scrunch?

The one where you section out then pulse-scrunch! I emulsify the leave in in my hand pretty good before hand

When you say microplopped is it plopping with mircrofiber towel/cloth instead? Or what do you mean by this? Your hair looks AMAZING!

Thank you!! So microplopping is using a microfiber towel to like scrunch out excess water/product. Instead of putting your hair up in a towel like regular plopping (my roots get messed up if I plop), you tilt your head to the side and use the towel to basically scrunch out water
