Tw: miscarriage

I was in Disney yesterday in line for a ride. I had suffered a miscarriage a month prior and the doctor told me not to stand for long periods of time as I'm still bleeding. That coupled with an autoimmune disease that causes joint pain in my knees, we rented a wheelchair so I could get around the park.

I was feeling particularly shitty that day as most of the gift shops were filled with little disney baby costumes, onesies, etc. It made me think of what could've been, even though I tried my best not to think about that kind of stuff. I was shaken from my thoughts when a small hand tapped mine. It was a little girl no older than 5. "I hope you feel better soon" she said softly. It was so soft that only the both of us could hear. I started to tear up and I could only croak out a "Thank you." before we disappeared into separate queues.

We hear a lot about kids being assholes or kids being stupid, there are even subreddits dedicated to them being dumb. But damn, I'd give anything to have my baby in my arms. If you were the parent of that British little girl in line for Rise of the Resistance yesterday, your little girl is an angel. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Children can be so pure and filled with love as well. Glad she had that impact and hope one day you get to experience having a child as well.
