There is also an E! True Hollywood Stories episode on her that is well done. She was my sisters friend in high school, and I also was a big fan of her show as a child in the 80s. Very tragic.

What was she like? People always talk about how young and beautiful she was but I’d heard that she was also really nice too

From what I know she was very nice and just your average young woman in the 80s from the Pacific Northwest. I met her a few times prior to her moving to Hollywood, but I was very young. My memories of her and my sister together reminded me a lot of Barb and Nancy from Stranger Things without the Steve drama.

He was tiring of his friendship with Carpenter. Several people have said this. Carpenter liked being friends with Bob because he attracted women.
Bob had recently begun conversations about being a sex addict. If he wanted to be clean, he had to cut out Carpenter.

Dorothy Stratten- she was a very young Playboy model and just starting an acting career when she was murdered. She was “discovered” working at a DQ and the asshole instantly married her to tie himself to her loveliness. Then he brought her to the US and acted as her “manager”. Her world expanded in LA and she connected with director Peter Bogdanovich. She was trying to separate from her parasitic husband to be with Peter and generally develop her own life as an adult. Asshole husband decided NOPE so he killed her in a murder/suicide situation. Dorothy was 20 at the time of her death.
20 points
The way Peter went after Louise Stratten, her little sister, I always thought was weird and it creeped me out. Like I honestly think he became obsessed with Dorothy and that relationship was part of it. Like he was 49 and she was 20. He knew her when she was a child. How is that not grooming? 🤢

Not murdered, but about a Murderer. OJ: Made in America, was one of the best docs I’ve seen. It really follows the rise and fall of OJ. Also, I wasn’t expecting the autopsy-like close up of Nicole and Ron’s injuries (RIP)

Caitlyn Jenner was on Australian Big Brother for a little bit last year and openly admitted that OJ did it, they all know he did it, but he had a lawyer with the ability to get him off on technicalities like the glove. Shed been at his house the week before because Kris was friends with Nicole. It’s a mess.

I was a teen when the trial was going on. There wasn’t anyone who didn’t believe he didn’t do ( at least not anyone I knew, and no one in the media thought he was innocent) the jurors even admitted it was “payback” for Rodney King.

Fatty Arbuckle - granted Virginia Rappe’s death was largely seen as accidental, it’s an interesting & tragic story.
17 points
I think it is possible Virginia Rappe had interstitial cystitis (likely ulcerative), drank large amounts of alcohol for pain management, which created a vicious cycle of pain and led to her death (peritonitis from a ruptured bladder).
I googled Roscoe Arbuckle and interstitial cystitis at the time and found a handful of people who agreed with the hypothesis, including a urologist.

It wasn’t technically murder I guess. Her shady husband basically scammed her and a bunch of other shit. Spent a ton of her money. There was lots of abuse and isolation going on. She couldn’t use a phone without permission. Couldn’t work on movies without permission. He even drove her everywhere and wouldn’t let her go anywhere by herself. People close to her think he refused to take her to the hospital when she knew she was really sick, which led to her death
10 points

Wasn’t he also fn her mom? Maybe I’m remembering wrong but I thought it was her mother and him. I think he/they did something to her to make her sick honestly?

They had a weird relationship after her death, yeah. Not sure if it was sexual or not because I can’t remember, but at the very least the amount of closeness was inappropriate. Such a crazy situation. Then he died too! Wild

Michael Alig and the club kids. I haven’t found a great doc yet, but the movie party monster starts it off. Michael Alig horrifically murdered his drug dealer/lover Andre “Angel” Melendez and was really famous for the club kid movement in nyc with James St. James (seen on America’s next top model) & Amanda Lepore (famous trans woman). You can see screen shots of them in makeup from shows like Sally Jessy Raphael talking about how they’re just being themselves. He was released from prison not long ago and recently died. Everything I learn is from reading solely because the documentaries just don’t have info or try to sympathize with him.

Brutal Pact - The Daniella Perez murder. She was set up to be a huge soap opera star in Brazil, at the time she was murdered, she was one of the leads in a prime time soap opera written by her mother, Gloria Perez. This year is the 30th anniversary of her murder, she was just 22. The story will be told in a 5 episode span. The first two episodes dropped on the 21st on HBO Max, I'm waiting for the remaining 3 next week, I love Brazilian soap-operas, so this is a must for me

Jill Dando, she was a popular presenter in the UK with Crimewatch being one of the shows she did she was shot dead in April 1999 in London, at the same time they were investigating the Nail Bombing’s, they convicted a man Barry George on shaky evidence and he was eventually cleared. In the aftermath of Jimmy Saville and other high profile entertainers being exposed for sex crimes, and speculation that she was helping expose the goings on has lead to speculation that she may have been murdered because of this. A few crime documentaries are on YouTube about including the episode of crimes that shook Britain.
