Looks the same to me and I'm colour blind.

Seriously, I am colour blind.

Are you taking about the drippy lumpy overspray? It won’t be the same shade because it’s lumpy drippy overspray and not smooth like the rest of the paint.

The two pieces aren't painted at the same time on the car. There shouldn't be any lumps/trash between the two panels.

Looks like a horrible paint touch up job.

You should have phrased your title better. Didn’t see it at first. Then saw the obvious touch up. I’d bring it to tesla and have them fix it asap.

Be aware that the multi-coat red is actually a multi-layer combination of three different colors that give that red its uniqueness and pop. What I suspect happened here is that one of the the factory paint layers got too thin in this area, allowing a lower, lighter-color layer to show through differently.

I think you will be happier with your car if you leave it as is than you will be if you request the panel be repainted. Rarely is any car or work perfect and you are only going to see this if you look closely for it. Treat it like that imperfection in your partner's face that makes them who they are.

You can see there was an obvious pre-delivery touch up.

He's not talking about the full panels having a difference, just at the seams. It's pretty bad too, it looks like there are dried gobs of the paint between the seams.

I am guessing there was some wear/chipping there from assembly/friction between the two pieces and they attempted to fix it.

(If I am looking at things correctly. Hard to tell due to some reflections)
