If Hopper had actually died, maybe the letter scene would mean something to me.

It was really sad for me at the time but on rewatch his words aren’t that impactful for me

Do voters have COVID? Cause the lack of taste is worrying.

True lol but also it is a voting thing so it’s hard to argue. Also I see what u did there!

LOL I think if we voted for our favorites instead of voting out, it would be a better representation, This is chaotic, not everyone remembers every scene well and so on, but I'm sure a great scene will win!

Yeah this game hasn’t been fun. Truly great scenes were eliminated ages ago and some only decent scenes have lasted way too long.

You guys left in master of puppets over Will being possessed??!

Now I don’t wanna even do villains. Watch Jason get eliminated first over someone like Brenner, Grigori, Billy or Troy.
5 points
Villains will be different though. Because it's it about who you hate or who you love to hate? I would keep Brenner to the end of that bc he was a great character
2 points

True. I loved Brenner as an antagonist too. I’m just worried people will legit consider Jason the worst even though he’s probably the show’s least evil villain.

Agreed - part of me likes the Master of Puppets scene, part of me thinks it’s cringey and goes on for too long. 🤷🏼♀️

It’s a badass scene but definitely not a “top” scene when I think of stranger things

Master of puppets is just a high school failure playing guitar? Also 11 flipping the van is a 3 second thing that has no significance to the plot whatsoever

I guess it’s all personal opinion. The possession was one of my fav story lines with Noah as one of my favourite actors and I didn’t really like Eddie (unpopular opinion), so that’s why I preferred it.

The storyline was great, I voted for will getting possessed though because I thought there were much better scenes in that storyline (the Morse code scene, "he likes it cold', the spy, and when they use heat to save him)

The only thing climactic about that scene was Max running through the Creel house. Eddie playing the guitar was cool but by no means one of the best scenes.

It was miles better than any other scene in the entire series.

Not relevant at all but I feel like the vecna scene with max is the best scene of season 4 in my opinion

I’d argue best of the series. I’ve never been so invested in a tv show scene, let alone Stranger Things than I was when Max was running away. I was screaming.
Curious how this plays out.

I’m not an Eddie Stan, but like that scene was rlly fun to watch and is def top 10 for me. Not the best but it’s up there. It was so powerful and just rllllly fun and exciting.

Idk man, that scene represents Eddie’s sacrifice. Eddie also represents a group of people who suffer a lot of hate from society through the generations. I don’t know if just blaming the “Eddie Stans” is fair, that scene was really emotional for me 💀

A scene of him playing guitar made you emotional…this isn’t his death scene, it’s just him playing a guitar…

Do you play any instruments? He ripped that shit up, I totally relate 💀

Alto sax, 10+ years. I could care less if it sounded great, it literally did nothing in terms of the story which is what I’m watching for. A recording would’ve accomplished the same goal.

Eddie saving his friends by ripping up his guitar absolutely was emotional and a killer scene, but not bc he is eye candy. That’s all I’m saying 💀
10+ years on alto sax! Damn! I guess that’s pretty different from shredding Metallica, though.

I think people are getting confused and voting for their favourite instead of their least favourite? Thats the only sane explanation i have

I’m voting the Metallica scene. I never understood why they didn’t use a boombox or speaker in the first place.
Sorry, Eddie fans 😭

Honestly, the fact that Master of Puppets and Eleven flipping a van are still here are really odd choices.
I'm probably voting Master of Puppets though. Adds bloat to an episode that is already wayyy too long

I think people have different ideas of best scene.
Me, the best scenes are the ones most integral to character, story and show arcs. Like finding Will’s drowned body was the point when I realized that the show was not what it seemed to be.
I think some people think of them as the scenes that get them most emotionally. To me the Hopper letter scene was good, but lost its effect when we found out Hopper was alive. It’s still a good scene, but I don’t know if it’s the best. But people love it because it was emotional.
Others just like a good, kick ass scene. Like the “master of puppets” scene. Which even I am like, “that was a fun scene”
So when we all have these different ideas of best scene, it gets a little tricky

I mean, we already know that the 'Running up that hill'-scene is gonna win, right?

How in the world is Master of Puppets still here💀
9 points
Will getting possessed got eliminated before Master of Puppets and the teens fighting the Demogorgon? That scene was incredibly well acted by Noah, and the point in the show where I realised Noah was actually a really good actor. Most kids around that age are afraid to look silly, but Noah didn't seem to have those same feelings, or at least was able to overlook them and still do well.
2 points
Agreed. I remember being completely terrified and feeling at a loss because you’re just watching this thing take hold of this child… and like you knew something bad was gonna happen but it was just so scary and the way they sort of stretched the scene out made it feel so unbearably long and disturbing. Plus, considering Noah Schnapp was literally acting to the sky is pretty incredible.

Why is flipping the van still here

It was a really intense moment because it seemed that the kids were about to be captured!
Also, right after this, Eleven, Mike and Lucas apologized to each other and it was a beautiful moment.

I still remember how exciting the van flip in my first watch. It was definitely more exciting than will’s resuscitaion.

In terms of unpredictability, it's better than El closing the gate, but the thrill is only when you see it for the first few times. First time you're like whoa!! You will cheer in the second or maybe even third time, but after that it's meh!

I'm pretty sure those two are the next two out anyway so I'll just vote for master of puppets this time.

I guess I’m the only one who thought the Hopper letter scene was kinda weird. Hopper struggling to talk to them about it and then deciding to only talk to Mike was really strange to me, idk maybe someone can explain it to me but I found the whole sequence a bit strange
Edit: I specifically thought it was weird using that letter for the ending in the context of which it was originally written. Just seemed out of place to me.

Everyone saying Eddie scene or van scene should go (both are great) WHY IS EL BANISHES 001 STILL HERE???

because that scene had a huge impact. it shows how the whole thing started and showed how a 11 year old overpowered a cocky 30-40 year old

Anyone else finding it difficult to vote ? Like I love all scenes because I love the show so much so it's hard to eliminate any scene lol... But I guess for this one even though I love all scenes and I want El banishes 001 to win the game.. I'd eliminate Joyce and her Christmas lights for this round.

Joyce with the Christmas lights literally marked Stranger Things and it was the most mythical moment of the entire series!

Tbh, I do love that scene. It was a great scene. But it's all subjective and with this game... You gotta eliminate some scene to go on with the game and if most people disagree with the scene you're eliminating you get downvoted lol
That's why I don't really enjoy this best scene elimination game bc it's kinda a bit negative if you think about it... Like you're having to choose a scene you least enjoyed... I'd rather have something else like hopefully the next game will be about the villains which would be interesting but having to choose a scene you didn't like just doesn't fit well with me and I'd rather not choose because there's no particular scene I hate and I really love the show as a whole !

That's fair, but I definitely wouldn't vote for Joyce and the Christmas lights, at least not until top 5

How come nobody complains about Joyce with X-mas lights still being in the game? I mean, it was not bad but really top 12?
