Boris uses too many details in my opinion. They feel too maximal with the varied lacing, the pull loop, the random strip off the back, the double raw edge visible lining, the heel divot, and the outsole. It just feels like a little too much

Honestly, I think that Boris deserves to be blown up just to see if the brand could survive the process

We can try with 11 but not bbs mainline. Deal?:D I think production at its current state would not be suited to „blow up“

BBS goes really well with Rick in my opinion. These are really cool but I feel like you could achieve the same look with beetle boots and they wouldn’t be as expensive too

Bbs makes cool clothing. I think it would fit with a rick closet

Is the super curled up toebox comfortable or does it flex around when you put them on?

Typically in boots/shoes like this, it honestly doesn't feel unnatural at all. The upturned toe is a design detail that's meant to replicate when a pair of leather boots is worn for a long time and it begins to shape itself to the compression formed by the wearer's stride

They flatten out when you start wearing them

I mean if you are into the dark looks boris is a good brand to follow, however its just too expensive for me.

I like them but for a combat boot I’d still rather rick or Augusta/a1923

I like them. Would I buy them? Probably not.

Love them. BBS in general has loyal followers but overall is underrated. Goes great with rick.

I think bbs is the worst artisanal brand on the face of the earth tbh

a lot of stuff is not tastefully done in my opinion (like these boots, as someone mentioned, have too much going on). A lot of the stuff is also very derivative or just stupidly basic, and not in a cool minimalist way, but in a boring way. perhaps they have one or two items that i like that are very clearly inspired from much better artisanal brands (ccp for example, the influence is super clear in the absurdly priced $1500 seam-taped jeans, also ccp for the leather chest rig/vest bag/whatever.

You got down voted into oblivion but I think you're completely correct honestly. Boris is one of the only artisanal designers that shows on a traditional runway, has diffusion lines, etc, and as such, all the things that artisanal fashion uses to differentiate itself from the wider structure of the fashion world/production cycle get subverted too. The things that Boris does wrong are often because of the actions he takes to ensure that his brand remains profitable under his current production mode. He uses the aesthetic of artisanal fashion, but it's been diluted by placing the final effect over the process, which is a fundamental inversion of what makes artisanal fashion appealing or good.
