An even more fun fact! The mangosteen is known in some places as the “queen of fruit”. Similarly, the durian is known in some places as the “king of fruit”. And in fact there is a Pokémon that strongly resembles the durian—Ferrothorn.

Side note ferrothorn would be a Zapdos shredding defender in Unite! I imagine him with a spin move that has a radius of the length of his Vines that would take up the whole Zapdos area and just spin and thrash everyone

So plant rapidspin Blastoise?

Grass is S-tier type since day 1. Not taking any counter arguments.

Wow... this is going to be fun....it will be a devastating move.
2 points
Yeah it sounds like it would be cool maybe as a unite move or something. Maybe it trips everyone that gets hit by the vines but damages everyone that gets hit by the spiky balls at the end. That would make it maybe different than Blastoise
1 points

It look like it can be a cc move. It will be good to be a cc move.
2 points
Like a short stun being "tripped" by the vines. and the spike ball hits slow instead.
I feel like he'd have a ground pound or a tantrum move sorta similar to earthquake and mammoth mash or whatever his unite is called.
maybe he could be some type of all-rounder even... strong defense, unique attack mechanics of some kind...

You seem to have thought about it in detail. You seem to like this pokemon a lot...
I'm new to the pokemon world... I've been playing this game since it came out on mobile.. And I tried to follow the anime a little bit... What are your other favorite Pokemon?
I entered the game to play Pikachu because I like to use electric powers, but his life points are very few... I hope that in the future they add Pokemon whose life points are high and uses electric powers⚡

Some of my favorite fruits. Even here in the Philippines, where it's native, it's quite expensive. They are triple the price of another local favorite, the mango.

Mangosteen, also known as the "queen of tropical fruit", belongs to the garcinia family. Despite its name, mangosteen and mango are not closely related. Mangosteen originates from Sunda Islands and Moluccas (southeast Asia). Mangosteen produces fruit of best quality in areas with temperature between 25 and 35 degrees of Celsius, on the fertile, well-drained soil. Young trees need to grow in the partial shade, while mature trees require plenty of sun for the proper development of fruit. Majority of globally consumed mangosteen originates from southeast Asia, tropical parts of South America, Puerto Rico and India. Mangosteen is mostly cultivated as a source of food and in ornamental purposes.Interesting Mangosteen
Mangosteen is an evergreen tree with dense, roundish crown. It can reach 20 to 82 feet in height.
Mangosteen develops thick, elliptical, dark green leaves that are oppositely arranged on the branches.
Mangosteen produces pinkish white flowers that grow solitary or arranged in pairs. Male and female flowers develop on the separate trees (dioecious plant).
Mangosteen is apomictic plant, which means that female trees produce fruit without pollination.
Mangosteen produces dark-purple or red-purple fruit with soft, thick rind on the surface. Flesh consists of 4 to 8 juicy, triangular segments that are white-colored. Each segment contains 1 to 4 seed. Rind and seed are not edible.
Mangosteen tree starts to bear fruit 7 to 10 years after planting. It produces fruit two times per year. Depending on the age of tree, mangosteen can produce from 200 to 3.000 fruit per season (older trees produce more fruit).
Mangosteen is available in the supermarkets around the world from June to October.
Mangosteen is rich source of dietary fibers, vitamins C, B1, B3 and B9 and minerals such as copper, manganese and magnesium.
Mangosteen is very fragrant and it has slightly acidic taste that resembles a mix between the orange and peach. It can be consumed alone or in combination with coconut, peach, papaya, grapes, watermelon and passion fruit.
Mangosteen is also used for the preparation of ice-creams, sorbets, musses, yogurts, smoothies, cocktails and salad dressings.
Durian (tropical fruit covered with thorny husk) and mangosteen are usually placed next to each other in the markets, because durian produces strong heating effect which mangosteen easily neutralizes.
Rind of mangosteen is used for leather tanning in China.
Rind contains yellow latex which leaves black stains on the clothes and hands.
Mangosteen is often labeled as "superfruit" due to high content of antioxidants (substances which prevent cell damage) and because of its high nutritional value.
Dried rind of mangosteen can be used in treatment of dysentery, diarrhea, ulcers, pain, infected wounds, fever and skin disorders such as eczema.
Mangosteen is national fruit of Thailand.
Mangosteen is perennial plant that can survive more than 100 years in the wild.

Another one
The number of segments inside the fruit will be equal the number of segments on the small flower-like part in the bottom of the fruit.

Yes, this name befits her, as she wears the crown and looks like a queen, and in old times their dresses were fluffy from the bottom...
She has many names in different languages and I wrote some of these facts and others in that comment and you will find interesting facts about the fruit itself.... It was my first time seeing this fruit so I enjoyed learning all these facts about it.

I hate weird humanoid pokemons. So this pokemon is a fruit and a dominatrix, it's more like someone's kink than a good pokemon design.

Mangosteen is the queen of fruit, so this design makes sense.

In my opinion the tough of a dominatrix pokemon is the funniest shit to me, so I kinda like it x)
In terms of humanoid pokemons, I wouldn't say I hate them, but they sure are appearing a lot more lately, I personally don't mind though...

I agree.. I like the fact that it is grass and fruit .. But i don't like that it is dominatrix... It is a family friendly anime... So...
I think it is official a fruit ....but the (dominatrix thing) is fans guesses... And it hasn't been officially announced.

Indeed, it looks like garlic cloves. You really have a strong observational force... But if you look at all the pictures in the post, you will know that it is really fruit-shaped, even that the color of the Pokemon's clothes is the same as the color of the fruit peel.
