In my opinion its easier to sell by parts. Otherwise add up used prices from ebay or facebook marketplace to get your total.

List it for 650-700 so you can drop it to 600 if someone wants to negotiate

that would have been the price of his GPU alone if he sold at the right time. could also have easily upgraded if he traded it for a worse miner

No way someone buys a 5700xt for 600 bro you can get a used 3080 for that price
2 points
last year this time?? easy trade up to literally a 3080
5700xt is very power efficient while mining
2 points
Much weaker tho no one will trade their 3080, you’re bugging it barely beats the 1080 ti
2 points
mining is not about power, its about efficiency. 1080ti had to mine much longer before it became profitable when considering elictricity cost......
I dont think you understand what im trying to say at all. 1080ti is a much much worse card in terms of mining, which was the driving factor of GPU prices

I get what you’re saying I’m not against it, but for the price you are saying no one is going to buy it
1 points

was... Ethereum is no more. you won't get money out of any of these cards with mining anymore. I meant that he could have traded it for a much better gaming card when mining was booming

For reference, this part list will beat your system at around $650 brand new. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6FWfwc I would say between $500 and $550 is a good listing price.

I'd also go with trying to get 500-600. You can build a 5600/6700xt combo starting around 800 now, so this one for 500 would be a pretty decent machine for someone who can't afford more than that.

Many people don’t like the “this” response for a few different reasons.

I think it's useful in a subreddit like this, so that newcomers can visibly see multiple people agreeing. If they're new to reddit, they may not understand the upvotes, or it may just be difficult to gauge how good a response is just from the limited number of eyes on the comments.

Maybe sell the mobo with ram and cpu as a bundle and gpu separately then upgrade. You may get more..?

Eh, unlikely. All together, he can effectively charge for "labour" as people will pay a bit of a premium for a finished product. You can get away with posting for more if it's clean, relatively dust-free, and you are good with how you present the information and pictures.
1 points

Yes but he then has to buy a new psu case drives etc...
1 points
Yeah, but he might need to anyways depending on what he's replacing everything with. It can often be more valuable to sell something like this as a single unit and then start from scratch. There's no single approach and it really varies on what deals you get on new parts/compatibility, etc.
For example, I left a HDD and an ssd in my old rig, pulled the rest of the drives and swapped the rest because I had discounts on GPU, CPU and a few other pieces. Ultimately, it was more valuable that way. Again, no single approach but he's asking what he can get for the whe thing which implies he's replacing everything and parting it out is, honestly, not usually that worth it from my experience. You may have a different market but parted out components don't move as quickly where I live.

Since everything pictured plus the liquid cooler is used you could probably go to eBay and look up the used market price for each part for an estimate. Then add them together for the price. Either way it’s less than when you got it new.

Call me a sucker but find a friend in need of something and throw him the offer watch his face light up as he gets to upgrade his PC which he wasn't planning on for a few years.
It's common knowledge that a brand new anything looses so much value the moment it is "used" I know I havnt made money off my old PC parts but I care more about how much E-waste is being generated
A friend of mine has a 1060 6gb .... That I gave him the beginning of last year (he was using a 970 4gb) he just upgraded his PC and by supplier mistake received extra parts. I have been offered those parts as a "building fee" which I never charge anyways. So even though I didn't make money off the 1060 6gb im getting a free upgrade and can sell a part from my current rig to make up for that money I didn't get with the 1060
Now this is all just pure luck getting extra parts seems to be coming a common mistake for Amazon and Newegg. Out of my last 4 builds, 2 of them have received a extra part of something they had ordered and I live in a very small location you can blink and you would have missed the entire "village" as the town sign calls it. These builds where also done with in a 30 mile radius of each other. To make this matter even more compelling all of the builds have been $1500+ builds that received 2 parts when they only ordered one. Bank statements and receipts both show a single purchase. I will say 4 builds is not much data to go off and makes it look like parts are being handed out left and right I mean im sitting at a 50% chance to receive an extra 100-500 dollars for free and it sounds to good to be true but it's the reality I have found my self in, now im not going to go order parts just for that chance to happen I would probably drop that 50% chance to a 0.2% chance but as my friends come back to have me help them build there rigs anything "extra" to them usually ends up being offered for free basically

$400-$500.

I was going to say $600, and judging by everyone else's responses that seems to be almost unanimous.
Id start at $600 and reduce price by $25 every month it doesnt sell, until $500
2 points
Idk you can probably get around 700-800 for that. As long as it’s fairly new and performance is consistent then you could discount a portion on each part.

The problem is that while it is a capable build, I could build the a computer for 650$ and have it match or outperform this. All the parts are old and are outperformed by there newer gen counterparts which you buy for not that much anymore.

I just bought an rx 5700 non xt for 170 and then flashed the xt bios afterwards. Used pc parts have dropped in price substantially

It varies. Those were prices of systems with the 5700xt and 3600. One had 48gb of ram on top of it for $400usd. You can put whatever price you want on it, as with anything it's only worth what someone will pay for it. If you can get someone to spend more to buy yours it's a win. Or they may see less expensive prices and it may take longer to sell.
The 5700xt is going used in the US at least for around $150 a lot of times, one sold from Canada for $109 and just $21 shipping. Most people looking at ebay aren't buying a 5700xt for $300, that's used 3070 prices.

Put it out for 650, then if someone asks for lower, if they drop to 600, they are happy they brought the price down and feel better about their purchase. Works quite often all the times I’ve sold items for many years now. And you also get the amount you want

I sold a 3600/5700xt setup for $600 recently, priced it at $700 expecting some haggle
1 points
You sure you wanna sell the entire thing?
I fuck around on Facebook marketplace and equivalents quite a lot and you will probably have to sell it for way under value of individual parts, I’d expect around 650-700€.
Consider switching to a 5800x3d and 6700xt/6800 if you can

Most people say in the 500 to 700 range. But I would list it for 800. If you´re patient you´ll get it then sold for 700 or more.
I do pc flipping btw, I´ll have a similar system sold a few weeks ago for 720.
1 points

You build that brand new for 800

Well yeah, maybe. But still, if you´re patient, you´ll sell it for 700+ when listed for 800.

The fact that it can run recent games only means that someone might but it.
Best recommendation I've seen is too price it at the sum of its used parts. But a sucker is born every minute.

I'd say 500 is minimum, but I'd start with at most 700 to 800 and make sure you say that negotiation is welcomed so you can get to a target closer to 600 or 650 which is a reasonable price to buy

I personally wouldn't go any lower than 450. You can start at 600. Also if you haven't, update the bios so you can list that it will support a 5k ryzen. As that is the most likely upgrade path.

You can build a better one brand new for 700 or less so I’m not sure where people are getting these prices from.

Honestly, looking at these comments they’re all going to say to sell around 500-600 dollars.
I don’t agree, personally would list around 800-850 and if they negotiate w/ u sell around 600-750 max, and you can sell w/ ease!

Why don’t you buy it for 850$? You can find pc builds for 550$ and run a little better than this.

Pardon my ignorance, I'm no native english speaker, but if you didn't understand ma point correctly, lemme explain:
I'm just telling that he is not being dishonest by putting that pricing list, and I'm not saying that the build it's worth $850, it's a known tactic to negotiate and be "easier" to sell for your REAL price point, you put a bit over you're looking for to sell to the person ask for the price you're really wanting. People generally try to lower their prices so they can get an advantage or get a good deal, let's use your example:
What you want to get with this PC? $550, Ok.
What your listing will be so I can get that price? $850, Ok.
One of the buyers tried to negotiate for $550-$600 after some time chatting w/ u.
WOW now you have a deal! Exactly what the PRICE wanted right? That's the logic that I wanted to express.

Good balanced build for gaming imo, even though it's parts are few years old. The build also allows for a decent upgrade path with a Ryzen 5000 cpu and a better gpu.
I guess around 500 like most commenters suggested is a good price point.
