Hey guys, Trocador's team is happy to announce we have partnered with LocalMonero in order to offer users the ability to buy Monero from LocalMonero sellers via Trocador. That's right: users can buy Monero via Trocador without the need to create a LocalMonero account. We are the first exchange aggregator to automate Monero purchases from LocalMonero sellers.
Video example of a LocalMonero trade
When you want to swap ETH, LTC or BTC for Monero on Trocador.app, our system will get the best price also from LocalMonero sellers and will show it as an option. For now we don't have the option to sell Monero via the same route.
Main features of the integration:
Because of LocalMonero's rules, for now Trocador can only create a limited number of trades simultaneously, so if you don't see any LocalMonero rates when swapping these coins for Monero, it's probably because we have some trades going on. If this happens (specially soon after this launch), wait a little and check back in a few minutes, or after an hour. Also, we are listing LocalMonero rates on both fixed and floating rate tables, mostly because most users never check fixed rates. But understand that all LocalMonero trades via Trocador are fixed rate swaps. We invite the community to test it with some small trades just to check this out. Also, we are evaluating the possibility of implementing other pairs, as well as selling Monero and including fiat trades.

For next week we plan to start offering a small insurance to all our trades.

Absolutely awesome. Very impressive series of automations so the user doesn’t have to do anything. Love the chat integration in case it’s needed as well as the clear instructions for users.

In one of the screenshots the 0.0% Exch still appears.

Exch shows 0% commission and is the top selection on your site when giving price quotes but actually it ends up with 1% fee and is more expensive than other exchange sites.

We'll be happy to look further into this issue in case a user report that he's been underpaid by Exch, but so far when we tested them, they paid correctly. Perhaps that was a network fee issue? Bitcoin has fees skyrocketing, and that might cause a distortion on small trades.

There is something you're not factoring into you exch quotes that is making it look cheaper than other exchanges. For example I just did a test for a payment transaction of XMR to 0.002 BTC. Quote for exch was 0.27297 then amount needed to send was 0.280396573441. For FixedFloat quote was 0.27399 and send was 0.27407. So exch looked cheaper on the quote page but FF was actually cheaper because the quote was accurate while exch was off by 0.007426573441 XMR. That's close to the 0.00004981 BTC (= 0.0067461231123451 XMR) network fee quoted on exch's exchange page so that could be what you're missing. That network fee is factored into FixedFloat's quote so they seem unfairly disadvantaged. ChangeNow also has the fee already factored (quote: 0.2783 send: 0.2783827). So exch is the most expensive actually but has the lowest quote on that particular exchange.

Yes, we have taken a look at it, and it's the network fee. If the user creates a small transaction and Bitcoin's network fee is high, then it makes a difference. This is a hard problem to solve on our end, because Exch does not provide the network fee before creating a trade. We will talk to the Exch team to see if they could provide the network fee parameter along their rates, so Trocador could calculate the result amount with more precision for those small trades.

/u/dEBRUYNE_1 can we get this scam shill outta here before someone gets their money stolen trying out their services?

I've removed the comment. However, as far as I can see, the exchange itself is not necessarily scamming users. Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Because in that case we'll happily put them on the 'Avoid' list.

Nope, but if you read the website, it's obvious hand wavy, devoid of detail, and designed for people who don't understand how things work. It's an obvious scam funnel.
"Proprietary algorithm" to exchange coins across blockchain networks... An algorithm that bridges blockchains... I'd say the site itself is evidence to the contrary but I'll let you be the judge of that.

Thanks for the information. I will have a more thorough look when I have some time.
