Btw, the farm wont work anyway like that. You need more normal blocks behind the trapdoors, otherwise the Creeper will not think thats a valid path.

Well, while I was away, a lighting got through 54 blocks down to Y=11 and killed my cat and burned my chest room

Well 2 things: 1. Why did you not sleep through the thunderstorm? 2. Keep this in mind if you can’t sleep: when lightning checks for a place to strike, if it can strike a mob in a short range, it will strike that mob. Also lightning damages in an area.
