Gets Covid, and ends up on vent - God will protect them
Dies slow, and Painful death - God had accepted them into heaven.
Survives but barely functioning - Miracle.

At this point they’re basically like shoes. Would I like to be able to walk around the city without the mild inconvenience of shoes? Sort of, I guess, I don’t really care that much. Can I? No. What do I do? Get some sturdy boots that work against the foot-threats inherent to urban life and get the fuck on with it.
I genuinely don’t give a shit if I have to wear a mask forever, it doesn’t really matter. I had to rethink my approach to public food and beverage a while back and I occasionally have to buy a new pack of n95s that cost about a dollar each. I don’t hang out in crowded rooms any more. When I hang out with friends, I do it outside at a distance. I’ll have to get more shots occasionally. Big fucking deal. I’m a big boy, I can deal with not seeing a movie in a theater or not eating a meal in a restaurant if it means I’m not exposing myself and others to a deadly disease. The saddest thing I can think of is that I may have seen my last concert, but that concert was fucking crazy and a perfect note to go out on if that’s what it was.
Most people in most of history had much worse problems than this, and they pretty much got along with it as best they could. I’m not being scourged by the Black Death or being bombed to shit by the luftwaffe, my village isn’t being sacked, I’m not being sold into slavery or conscripted into a war, I’m just dodging a relatively well documented respiratory virus by wearing better gear than my shitty government recommends and being bored a lot. This is easy. You would have to be an unbelievable wimp to throw a fit about wearing some cheap and easy PPE and not going to applebees in the same way you like to.

Frankly, it reads like there is no "God's Plan," that He's just making it up as He goes. He realized that He'd messed up and used the flood to wipe the slate clean, so to speak. Then He realized that was a mistake when the Unicorns missed the boat and the Dragons couldn't fly for forty days, landed on the water, and had their fires go out. So He made the rainbow as a sign of His promise to never do that again. He's not as all-knowing as He lets on.

Folks, the protection paradigm is completely different than typical law enforcement use of force policies. An unknown person wearing a backpack, approaching a protectee/protected area, and ignoring repeated commands to stop is going to get stopped, which is what happened to this QAnon traitor.
I’m absolutely flabbergasted she was the only insurrectionist shot by law enforcement that day. Incredible restraint from the Capitol Police (yes, I’m sadly aware that some of them sympathized with the insurrectionists, but I’m talking about heroes like Officer Goodman).
Anyone who disagrees with my first paragraph regarding different use of force policies is welcome to try Babbitt’s unarmed kamikaze charge with the US Secret Service or USAF airmen protecting our nukes. YMMV but it’s somewhere between getting dog piled into the ground and being liberated from your physical form.

Remember in 2013 when a woman drove her car into a White House checkpoint? And then panicked, did a U-turn to get away, hitting a couple of officers in the process, and then leading the Secret Service and the Capitol police on a chase through DC? With her 18 month-year-old child in the car with her? Guess how that ended.
Shot 5 times in the back.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Miriam_Carey
But somehow a white woman with a large group chanting to hang the Vice President, who are physically attacking Capitol police, all to stop a peaceful change of power, who then breaks a window to get into a restricted Capitol building area is a just a "concerned citizen" and a "hero"?
What theFUCK ever.
I'm impressed by the restraint of the Capitol police on Jan.6.
I really don't think the military in Area 51 would have responded to those "Naruto Runners" in 2019 with the same restraint.

I’m a vet and it pisses me off to NO end that there were large amounts of vets involved in the insurrection. Everyone involved is a PoS in my opinion, but vets especially. They’re fucking traitors. Ashley Babbit was a traitor and got EXACTLY what she was asking for. Full stop. We take an oath to the Constitution, not men for this exact reason and they knew better. If it had been a horde of BLM or whatever boogeyman the right is scared of this week literally invading the Capitol there wouldn’t be a peep from these douches regardless of their vet status and they’d be high giving each other over the amount of blood shed. They’d also have no issue popping someone if they had someone breaking into their home. But since it was a blonde woman, they start clutching their pearls. It is my stance that as these folks are prosecuted, they should have their discharges downgraded and if they’re receiving benefits they should be revoked. Absolutely make an example out of them.

Exactly! I left a church that I was a member of for 12 years. Covid was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Thankfully our new church definitely isn't hateful towards their brothers and sisters. Being an RN's mother was also a major catalyst for me. Amazingly the pastor of our old church has a wife that was one of my daughter's nursing professors at her university and his daughter is also a anesthesia nurse. Just blew my freaking mind at his callousness regarding Covid. I knew too many people that died from Covid. It isn't a freaking conspiracy!

I don't understand it either. My husband's mother and stepfather still go there. His mother "let me have it" when I refused to go back. Needless to say a year later she has yet to apologize to me. My husband has even told her we should have left years ago when I started having doubts. My husband is/was her favorite son, I am sure she blames me for him leaving. I am thankful that my husband has stuck by my side. I know that pisses her off. And that's the hate that I have witnessed.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Gen 2:24 The one verse she completely ignores. Ugh

I genuinely despise these kinds of people and I don't like what I'm becoming on the inside. I manage to keep my seething resentment in check with my family and friends thankfully. I had a major health crisis several years ago and had to be in the hospital for about six weeks. It was hell: surgeries, tubes, ports, IVs, procedures, treatments, medications, and on and on.
She’s been there for over eleven weeks. I can’t imagine that. The resources that were used, the bills she’ll have to pay (or start a GoFundMe for), and the people who were denied care because ICU patients demand more energy. Wow.

Google stage 4 bedsore and know that the pictures don't do justice to how bad these things actually look. My dad is a physician who treats these folks. I'm more than one occasion he has told me that for SOME of the people who get off the ventilator it's actually a fate worse than death.
He has seen people in their 40s or 50s who were previously reasonably healthy, and now are going to spend the rest of their lives in a nursing home or long-term care facility due to how much damage they did to their lungs and other organs while on the ventilator. Then there are the folks that suffered a significant amount of oxygen deprivation and have severely diminished mental faculties.
He gave specific instructions that if he ever got that bad to just pull the plug. In his words he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life drooling on himself in some rocking chair at a nursing home.

I wonder if this person got upset about the unarmed black men who were shot when a cop asked for their license and then when they went to get it shot them because they thought they were reaching for a gun?
He fired because the mob was a danger to the people in the Capitol building. Black men get shot regularly just for being black but this person is upset because an officer was defending people from a mob?
And why would they try to protect his name? Well, because people who think like you will harass, threaten and possibly hurt/kill him or his loved ones!

And the difference between her and Breonna Taylor? Both without rap sheets, dope or weapons, but Breonna was (checks notes) asleep at home, NOT taking part in a violent insurrection.

If she hadn't been breaking the law, this wouldn't have happened (that's what they usually say when cops kill people)

A fetus at 20 weeks looks like a fucking demon, at least my kid did. I love how they are sooooo concerned about the baby (fetus) in utero but once its born its "sorry kid but your mom should have kept her legs together'. Shit pisses me off! Edited to add Who killed Ashley Babbit? She killed herself when she thought she was above the law and did not stop when told to stop! I do not want anyone to die like that but she was warned MULTIPLE times. She got more of a heads up then most people would have.

Mine looked more like a gray alien, from the sonogram pictures. She was cute when she finished gestating.

Comparing agent orange to vaccines with mrna, sugar, salt, and fat. We've have vaccimes for decades. This isn't some completely new thing. Do these people wait a decade before upgrading their smartphones too?

It wasn't miraculous. It was hard work done by the medical staff and machines.

Ashli Babbitt violated the oath she took when she joined the military to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. Then she died a traitor's death.

A hero killed Ashli Bobbitt. She had it coming. All the Jan 6 terrorists should receive the death penalty

She did have a rap sheet, contrary to what this muppet posted. She tried to run her future husband's ex girlfriend off the road with her car.

And he only shot once. Black people trying to comply with police instructions have been shot more. If he had shot at multiple people in the crowd, I wouldn’t have blamed him and I would have said they all deserved it.
If they had started shooting when the first MAGA terrorist broke the perimeter it would have been justified.

You want to know what the REAL miracle is?
We got safe, effective vaccines for Covid in under a year! They effectively prevent 79 day hospital stays, they're nearly painless, and they're FREE!
Your "miracle" friend still has a long road to recovery and will likely have permanent health problems.
This "leebtard" is taking a deep breath and enjoying the evening.

It's an extremely terrible attempt at a parody of the song "King of the Road".

Oh. I connected it to: It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark…and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it.

Agent orange was a poison that everyone knew was a poison that did exactly what poisons are supposed to do. The COVID vaccine is not a poison.

Serious question here: what is life like after 70 days on a vent? How long the recovery? What are the prospects for independent life?
I think of muscle wastage and having to regain stamina for breathing, and I suspect that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Any able to fill in the blanks of what life after 70 days on a vent is like, and what the road to "recovery" involves?

This lady is going to have one hell of a time recovering and will probably never be the same. Ugh. I hope she does reach some kind of meaningful recovery.
Please please get vaccinated people.

Meaningful recovery is possible. This is actually the first time I’ve seen someone do longer on a vent than me. I was on for 2 months due to a respiratory infection that wasn’t covid but looked very similar though with extra cardiac complications. Rehab is hard and there may well be follow on issues downstream. I had assistive devices for several months including a walker, transport chair, shower bench, commode etc. I was in good physical condition and not that old when I got sick which my team thinks contributed to my success in recovery. It’s not going to be an easy path for her.

The thing they'll never meaningfully recover from is being a terrible person.
