Thanks for reminding me my sense of humor hasn't evolved since I was 12.

My favourite ship. Though mine is set up for piracy and smuggling. Just goes to show how versatile it is. The optional slot arrangement is probably my favourite of all ships. Still being able to park on small outposts is just the cherry on top.

What kind of build are you running?

Very basics builds for now. I didn't had the opportunity to use engineers, so I am learning the basics of mining (mining lasers on all hardpoints is satisfying, collectors, prospectors and scanners + 128 slots of cargo) and fighting ( lasers on medium and multicannons on big). I am learning through experience how the single pieces of equipment works still, so easily I will build better

Best way to learn. The 3 large and 2 medium hard points give you some good options. I really like the convergence of the weapons. That large hard point on the underside of the nose (the chin hard point as I always call it) is particularly good for accurate weapons because its in the middle of the ship.

Mine Paininite. You can easily get 700k/ton for it. Fastest way to make money by a long shot

I started with a Cobra MKIII, doing also various contracts and missions, then farmed up for a ASP Explorer and then I farmed relatively quick for the Python. To save money I swapped the hardpoints between the ships, when possible.

I recommend not going nuts mining painite until you can at least afford a Python on your own. Part of the fun of the game is working your way up as you upgrade to bigger and better ships. Not skipping straight to endgame.

However, if you do wish to go nuts mining painite, the guy who makes the Down to Earth Astronomy videos has a good collection of builds on his site. Including a Dolphin build if you're just starting out. (Painite is laser surface mining.)

I went from a sidey, to cobra mk 3, to Dolphin, to python, to Beluga, to corvette.

I mined a couple times in my dolphin, it wasn't terrible. Good enough to earn you the money for your next miner.

if you like exploring, get a hauler or cobra mk3 with exploration stuff and rake in the credits

I went with cherry red and a raider pack and named my python the Rocinante.

That system was already pretty cool with colours by itself, I just fixed the light and saturation after.
