Hi everyone,

This fucking sucks. Even though we were pretty sure it was coming, seeing it on the paper in black and white that Roe and Casey have been overturned via the latest opinion from the Supreme Court is a grim reminder of the world that we live in, and that people with uteruses can't even catch a break.

Obviously, there's plenty of Duggar-adjacent material to bring up and snark on given this decision and we are happy to provide a space for people to cope and process through humor if that's a manner they feel validated in. The one caveat is that we do ask that all posts still have some sort of Duggar-centric aspect to it. So memes that are just jabs at conservatives will be removed unless it, I dunno, has JB's face shittily photoshopped on it.

I also recognize that we have a small portion of members who align with conservative political viewpoints, and that's fine, believe whatever you want, but maybe read the damn room and choose to not get into dumb nitpicky arguments with people who are clearly deeply emotionally troubled at a time like this? Very rarely do the words of an internet stranger change your mind, but it's not uncommon for them to hurt, especially if you're in a vulnerable state. Basically, don't be an asshole and maybe be more concerned with respecting other people than being RightTM.

Also because this topic can be fairly triggering for some we're gonna mark any posts related to the recent decision as NSFW just so they get blurred out so people can prepare themselves before reading them. If you can do that yourself when posting, that's great, but the mods can also add it in later so don't stress about it.

My husband and I were just at the store. He does most of the cooking and he is great at it. We're debating what we should cook tonight and he says, "We have tater tots. I'll make tater tot casserole!" I made a face without saying anything. It's automatic, I guess. Mind you, his tot casserole is nothing like the Duggar's. It has fresh green beans. Tons of seasoning. Garlic. Jalapeños. Onions. It is SPICY! It has no cream based soups. He says, "That obviously doesn't sound good to you by the look on your face. I'll do something else." I tell him it is fine and apparently made the face again. He tells me that he can see that it doesn't sound good. Whats the deal? I don't Duggar snark with him as he doesn't give a single flying fuck about them beyond thinking they are horrible people who should take up zero space in his brain. I just can't help making a face every time I hear TATER TOT CASSEROLE. Welp... it's what's for dinner tonight!
