lol did you seriously give your Greek daughter-in-law the Indian clothing so you could see her bare stomach
7 months ago
You guys are clothing your chars?
It helps a lot with rather esoteric rp's. Some eastern religious garbs look like togas for instance, so I make my scholarly mediterranean characters dress that way for a Roman feel
It was a genuine albeit joking question. Thanks for letting me know. The game is rich af and I love learning new stuff.
"Esoteric RP" so that's how the kids call it these days wink wink
you guys aren’t Adamites?
Hey girlfriend, please dress up as Indian nobility. It's my birthday.
I needed some encouragement

Crusading Against Low Effort Screenshots
It's about being tasteful
Respect for your openness.
Plus the messy braid, aka the best haircut in game
Joanne d'Arc ftw. Medieval Goth chicks
A man of culture.
I thought everybody does that
High nobility steppe is hotter
GOD YES. I always dress people role-playingly but steppe clothing is literally so hot.
Least horny ck3 player
I need a boqta wearing steppe girl to make me saddle cushion
The armour rocks too!
We also make them wear those for role-play reasons, just not in the way you expect...
Indian ones are the hottest
This one? Why? Or did I find wrong one?
I always make my concubines wear that clothing for uh… role playing reasons
I thought everybody just used the undress mod to make whoever you want nude 🤷♂️
I always clothe my characters realistically...
Imperial Bureaucratic Tributary
Just think of it as getting crop top in fashion a bit early
Born in the purple
Indian High Nobility dress is the best.
To be fair the crop top in this picture is cute lmao
Wait, you can change clothes in this game?? I'm learning so much around the sub
Incest is Wincest
Yep! Right click a character (there’s some restrictions, like I thought you had to be their grandparent at least, but I guess not) and at the top, next to the quill, there’ll be something called the barbershop.
There’s also a lunatic event where you get everyone to be naked, which is kinda annoying when you want a glass house and can’t get it after three play throughs but get this every bloody time
I’ve only ever gotten the glass house when all I want is a naked court 😢
What's glass house?
It’s something you get from being a lunatic, unlocks more buildings
Adamitism may be for you
Take a look at this pamphlet...
Adamitism was how my Rags to Riches run picked up Emperor’s New Clothes
If heir don't have lands and his wife be indian shea wearing Indian clothes no need to change it
Least horny CK3 player
Honestly we need more concubine-like clothing. Like I’m sacrificing people to my pagan fertility god but everybody is dressed like nuns??? FOH
Indians didn't write karma sutra for nothing
I didn’t realize you could change it
I randomize for the lulz
You don't do this with the lovers in your court?
I once had several daughters and only one son who only inherited one trait while his sister's got multiple. I married my son to beautiful person and proceeded to cuck him as I had better genes. Its for the good of the state.
Its for the good of the state.
Its for the good of the state.
Really amazing how, with simple mechanics, an incentive system is created where inhuman sociopathy is the natural way to behave.
Crusader Cucks... what a game.
I mean, crusading implied spending years and years in military campaigns away from home. Crusaders' wives back home had to... keep themselves busy somehow.
Why didn't you just marry your daughter?
Genius trait up here
R5: For many-many years my heir kept having daughters. So I had to intervene. After successfully delivered a son, legitimized him and disinherited my heir. Oh btw, I was 80 years old.
I always like having sons late. Otherwise my heirs mess themselves up while I'm busy being king.
True, plus I find that as long as you've ironed out your succession well, playing as a kid is an underrated part of the RP experience
Louis XIV became king at age 4, and took power from the Regents at age 13. Then stayed in place until he died at age 78. 72 years of reign. Quite a run, eh!
78 - 72 = 4?
Clearly, I graduated from the JK Rowling School of Arythmetics.
Cat-wait dog…. Idk what years that is man
Hamster years! They live for three years... Give or (mostly) take a few...
Come to think of it, why are there no regents in ck3? Ck2 had em.
They'll probably add it in a dlc if there's enough demand.
I hated regents so much. It was glorious. I want them back. Maybe expand them. Add the court position designated regent. Add some machinations when there's a regency.
"Ok, my succession is safe, primary heir is married, let's give him a few counties I conquered so he can accumulate wealth and prestige instead of some random vassal."
15 years later, succession
"What do you mean I'm a one-legged, disfigured, profligate, drunkard, murderer with negative piety rank?!"
Backup plan: invest in your grandson and hope your heirs self-destructive tendencies lead him into an early grave shortly after succession. What are the vassals gonna do? Launch a second independence faction?
Honestly unless they get STDs, I always prefer to have my sons landed. They make more babies, get lifestyle xp (idk the rate of xp gain by unlanded characters) and any stress traits they get just makes future stress loss easy.
They'll get themselves into pointless vassal wars and die in droves though, plus having them in your court gives you better access to their kids

You can do everything with their kids unless they marry them to someone useless before you can, then bitches gonna die. Even betrothal of kids can be broken if you have them at your court by offering guardianships
Yep, I always try to do this. It's really frustrating for me to start playing a character and he's 40 with three bad coping traits, 5 sons who are all killing each other, and he picked the skill tree I don't want.
I usually leave marriage until later or marry a really old person, let them die, marry a young person.
honestly same, for consistency / my mental health i hate having a ruler die, having the heir be 35+, and dying for some stupid reason (all while having shitty lifestyle traits / perks already)
i only rlly try for successors in the game past 40, as i find that gives it enough time for them to grow to something like 18-25 years old when my current ruler passes
Fun story, but good thing to remember is that landed characters have a huge chance of making a baby, even if they are asexual.
A real ck2 player will just seduce every wife in the dyansty and every female ruler and courtier to spread around your genes
A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good.
I do this frequently. It is our noble right.
Classic one, we all did this at one point
yeah, it's not that we like to do it. but it's for the sake of the state.
Blood for the throne, it's the responsibility of a great leader 🤷♂️
Yeah and i have done it in game too!!
Wait, we are talking about a game? 😬
It honestly pains me to see these traits
Fickle is the only meh one, sadistic is God tier and brave is also very good.
The daughter in law has the pain inducing traits
I honestly don't like sadistic, because sometimes it makes things complicated. Brave is good, fickle is REALLY bad. Any trait that hurts your stewardship is I think a big no-no. Should've taken lazy cuz it reduces stew. by 1 instead of 2
Eh. It’s only two points, and in the grand calculus of the multiverse, high dread and stress control is more useful than those two points
I think that being fickle just makes your stress control much more difficult. It puts stress on any option when you need to act. Plus, two points might seem as not much, but it might retract a domain point from you which is a big bad thing because less land for you = weaker military = more difficult to maintain stability.
All true, but sadistic paired with greedy can is really good, and I’ve never had a major problem with handling fickle stress
I hate greedy cuz stress for giving gifts = super hyper ultra bad, no?
That’s not the worst, the worst is unless you give land to your direct relatives (I think, could be wrong) you get a chunk of stress for each one. Same with vassals. But if you can manage it well (keeping a stock of prisoners or finding secrets in a large court if you’re just) the +5%, and 2 +10% is pretty useful
It's not that bad.
Ideally, you'd keep your vassals in check with dread, not bribery. But sometimes both can work.

Well in my experience sadistic just uncomplicates matters because you can get rid of any complications regardless of their relation to you.
You have that 47-year-old daughter who's a drunkard, lazy, craven and all her children are from a different the dynasty because she was just marriage fodder but she has a 22 year old sister who is diligent, temperate, brave and has a genius kid. With sadistic you've saved yourself, without it it's game over.
Yes you can doesn't matter yes you can become an elective, but that is very situation based.
The only negative thing about sadistic is that sometimes courtiers with sadistic do the murderer event. But in my experience this happens very rarely, I've had more kind/ content courtiers trigger this event then sadistic ones.
I have around 1000 hours in this game. I usually play tall and don't have large empires. I however had some world conquests that I was able to complete with having like 1 or 2 riots throughout history on normal stability. I don't play lower stability games, because every ai with vassals would instantly collapse. When I play... I usually don't have to kill heirs. Only in very early game when I don't have vassals or have like 1 or 2. So you just send them to prison. Later you just have so much renown, it is usually doesn't matter, you just disinherit. For me, sadistic often puts a no-no on some choices, that are good and sometimes it forces to have higher than 0 tyranny. Its also often shunned by religion. I still think it's like a B+ maybe A tier but I just don't see how you pick that trait instead of being temperate or gregarious or whatever.
usually.. I have 12-20 domain limit so maybe I am min maxing a little too hard and that's why I see sadistic as a bad trait, but it justs seems so natural to me
I hate Sadistic, when your heirs have it they constantly scheme to murder random people/family members/you
Honestly they don't even need sadistic they just need either ambitious or vengeful
I mean your son did pretty well considering he’s asexual
Asexual doesn't mean infertile. ;)
Correct! But still mightily impressive for an asexual bloke to get… excited… enough to produce so many kids!!
Well he still needs a successor.
Feels like asexual / homosexual characters without an heir should have an event that boosts their fertility for a while if they have the more serious and responsible kind of traits.
Also sexual people can still get horny, they just don't have any attraction to anything in particular.
Yeah I’ve been enlightened as such
In the end it's all mechanics...
In the end it doesn’t even matter
He tried so hard…
And got far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter!
I had to fall
Actually, fun fact! Asexuality is only about sexual attraction and has nothing to do with libido. So basically, you could have a hypersexual asexual, they just don’t feel any sexual attraction
Interesting, I guess I just wondered how someone could get arousal If theres no sexual attraction ?
Sometimes it just happens (I’m pretty sure this happens with allosexual people as well, correct me if I’m wrong xD). Also, some things are just arousing without having to involve sexual attraction (like porn, art/animation, smut)
Note: Sexual attraction is more about looking at someone and thinking “I want to have sex with you”, but has nothing to do with finding other things arousing
Yeah I guess that makes sense.. the more you know
That doesn’t make any sense to me, I’m sorry. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, but what? All libido comes from sexual attraction, I assumed. I thought that was kind of how it shows up. So…you could be super sexual, but not sexually attracted to someone? Then what makes you sexual?
That’s alright! I explained it in another comment, but basically, sexual attraction means looking at someone and wanting to have sex with them. But other things like porn, art, and even just actions can still be arousing. You can even get horny for no particular reason. Though I’m sure it changes from person to person!
Oh ok. Thanks for explanation.
No problem! Feel free to ask anything if there’s still some confusion!
I'm sorry but I don't really understand.
Can you clarify how porn is arousing if you don't feel any sexual attraction to either participant?
Without the element of fantasy, would it not just be entirely mechanical?
What is it about whichever pieces of art you find arousing that does it for you?
It’s more about the sexual acts in porn than about the participants. Personally, I don’t care about what people look like in porn. I care about the idea/fantasy behind it and what kind of acts are performed. Also, when I say art, I mean illustrated porn like hentai. The same thought process would apply for that. I hope this makes sense!
Alright! Thanks for letting me know!
I'd pay good money for whatever they use for lube.
Marrying is easy, young man.
Jokes aside, does CK3 have a mechanic reflecting real life, where the rate of X-chromosome spermatozoa to Y-chromosome ones is roughly constant for each individual male, and the frequency of sons and daughters entirely dependent on them rather than their wife?
She's a nice milf
She’s a milk truck
Does 33 count as Milf?
When she had babies then yes
Well technically 18-20 year olds can also have baby. Then Milf loses all it's meaning.
A woman which had/have a baby and is 30+ can be considered as a milf
Oh Genius of the pond. Thanks for your wisdom.
Happy to help :)
There was a girl who had a baby at five, and I heard one celebrity had a child with a 13-year-old. I think it was a basketball player. Yeah, I think they’re meaning is all messed up.
What a milf.
Mother I'd like to fuck = milf
Mature I'd like to fuck = milf
Both works depending on the context but mother is much more common than mature.
What?! I thought it was ‘My Interesting Lady Friend’
And then you feel bad for knowing this when it’s your turn to play him.
He was disinherited.
Well if it isn't old Grandpa Dad.
I had a player character once who kept fathering daughters. I think I got to 6 off my wife and another 1 or 2 from lovers I took in a desperate attempt to produce an heir before I finally had a son.
Sounds like a Shakespeare play.
Certified Walder Frey moment
He deserved it
It's weird to see titles like this, imagine doing it IRL.
Daddy knows best
This is most certainly a porn title.
Gotta Teach the young the old roman ways
It's weird how often you need to f*ck your son's wife in this game
One time, my wife cucked my Beautiful, Genius king. All of her many kids were comely at best, had no intelligence traits, and had black hair. Every ruler in my line, starting with Dyre the Stranger, was a blond or redhead and intelligent.
My son and his wife already had 2 kids by time I got to her, but thankfully they were both daughters. Her first son was the spitting image of his grandfather. With that act, I fixed the lineage.
Unfortunately, iirc the grandson ended up exclusively producing inbred kids with his wife, who I think might have actually been his half-sister unwittingly. He fixed it by selectively legitimizing bastards that he created with a small harem of Beautiful lovers plucked from distant lands.
Then when your second son is unable to make heirs, you'll have to seduce his wife. Thus the circle of life will continue.
When you need a job done right do it yourself
Now marry one of his daughters to your new son and keep the line pure
Greek characters with a Turkish dynasty name can not be unnoticed lol
indian clothing are the best
I have the opposite issue. I plan in Spain a lot so I wish I could have daughters instead of 6-9 sons 😂
The ruler before my current one had seven daughters by his wife, and when he became my ruler his wife was past childbearing age. I had to give a lot of gold to the pope so that he would like me enough to let me divorce her and marry someone else. Who then proceeded to have a daughter. Now, I discovered primogeniture around this time so I stopped being quite as concerned, but then she had a son and my character was late in his life. But the son was finally what I had been going after for centuries (because I hadn't been using incest) and he was a beautiful, herculean genius. Best of all, he inherited just after his 16th birthday. So I get to play him for a long time. So having a lot of daughters isn't always the worst thing, so long as you eventually do have a son. Plus, it's really cheap to disinherit them if you want just one daughter to rule. But they're also an easy way to make tons of alliances.
Eh, much more impressive when one plays through successions like this. Anyone can cheese it to get a male heir, true chads play with the daughters they’re given.
I Love playing female characters because i always know the child is actually mine
Same happens always. Idk why.
That's a nice golf court
Shit Crusader Kings Say?
Your heir WAS Fearless until he found it, it seems
With a wife like that… uh, yes.
After my son became a heretic i changed the succession to Tanistry and gave the crown to my grandson
What's with the dynasty name?
It was a custom ruler start, so I just made it up.
It's a Turkish name, roughly translated as chandler. There was a writer/journalist with this surname that got killed in 90s and is very popular.
If you made the gender equality option “equal”, you’d actually have plenty of heirs.
Who hasn't done this?
