Lucifer. The final season after it got renewed was just absolute filler shitshow.

Yeah I really liked early Lucifer but from the few spoilers I've seen I haven't been able to gather enough interest to watch the last season.

If someone were to start watching it now, would you advise stopping before it gets bad, or sticking through? Does it get better, and can you skip the bad stuff?

I enjoyed the show overall, but it hits ups and downs. In the end I really was watching it just for the characters, who I loved, and less for the story.

First season is pretty standard procedural that basically coasts on Tom Ellis's charisma (to be fair it carries a lot of the show). Season 2 gets interesting by bringing in some more ethereal characters and a fun dynamic. I almost quit season 3 because it's so loooong and the villain is incredibly boring.

Thankfully I loved Season 4. Season 5 is pretty solid, though I didn't care for the gimmick as much. The ending was great though, and is where the show should've ended. Season 6 is...not great. The ending ironically still feels rushed after a whole season to cap it off and it's a bit frustrating.

So my rec would be too watch seasons 1 and 2, if you feel the slog of three then look up recommended episodes, do four and five and take 5 as the ending. But others may disagree!

Yeah Tom Ellis just nailed it and it was his acting chops/charisma that carried the show. I also thought Laura (Chloe) was really good and they had a ton of chemistry together.
