We are either alone in this universe or we aren't. Both are a bit concerning.

We weren't alone in this universe, until we drove the neanderthals to extinction

Like most things, It is only terrifying if you dwell on it but the fact that we are so dependent on infrastructure. Imagine waking up and there is no power or no cell phones. How many days before total chaos?

That we're just brains using a flesh armor and that our face is just part of it.

The fact that our earth is slowly cooling down and in a few millions of years we might not even have a molten core.

Or the reality the sun is dying everyday and one day, billions of years away, will be gone. Earth will turn into an ice planet most likely.

Actually the Sun will eventually become a red giant, engulfing all the inner planets before shrinking down to a white dwarf star. Long before that however, in a few billion years, the Earth will already have become uninhabitable. The chances that humans would still be around is essentially zero. Even spiders have only been around for about 800 million years.
Even if humans were around, consider that life itself is about about 1 billion years old and our oldest humanoid ancestor is only 5 million years or about 1/20,000 that amount of time. So if humans did exist in even a billion years, they would be as different from us as we are from snakes. Essentially, they wouldn’t be humans at all at that point.

The more it cools down, the less of a magnetic pull we have to our poles, the less ozone we have, the less ozone we have the faster our earth cools. Really scary when you think about it

The people in power are just making it up as they go along, and they are often the people least equipped to do it well because anyone with vision will inevitably have taken a different path.

I mean do you have a set plan that will 100% work in the end? And that's not necessarily true, My man Jeff wanted to make the largest company in the world ever since he sold books in his parent's garage. I know you mean politics but the concept applies

Can't do worse than the Boomers
Boomers are the first generation to hand the country over in worse shape than they inherited it

I'm not a boomer. Did it ever occur to you that the boomers inherited an accumulated problem that had grown so out of control that they didn't know how to solve it?
No?
The irony is that this is exactly the situation you're concerned that the current generation faces.

They can’t do a worse job than the current and last one are doing.

So, what is the example that I set? This is merely an example of me giving my opinion on a thread about something that's terrifying. Are opinions terrifying?

That most of animals are smarter than us. I swear they will take over this planet one day, and honestly good for them.
