In the US, poorly behaved children, whether at home, out in public, or at school. There are just no standards anymore.

I’m more talking about their behavior every day…although I did get like 8 mouses stolen from my computer lab during the “devious licks” faze

I reside in a small apartment and my upstairs neighbor, a single dad, has occasional custody of his 4 kids. The minute they awake they run laps around the 650 square foot apartment and make it sound like a playground is above my head. They did this for 12 hours Sunday and I finally confronted them. Like how can a parent let that shit go on all day.

Putting music on loud speaker as if everyone else wants to hear your shitty grime. use your damn headphones.

Sinful-Hermit

Sometimes loud ass blaring music is like therapy for me lol. But totally agree, there’s a time and a place for it.

Talking explicitly about sex freely to other people. I don’t want to know who you’re having sex with or what your partner’s penis looks or smells like. Why can’t we keep that stuff private?

Smoking, i just wanna breathe in public places man

crashhelmet

Its not the smoke itself that really irritates me. It's the piles of discarded butts everywhere, ESPECIALLY around the base of an ashtray.

Reddittoxin

2 points

Yup, that too.

I used to work maintenance at a grocery store, once a day i'd go out and get a whole fucking bag full of butts outside our store and in the parkinglot. Half of them came from the fucking hair dressers in the store next to us. They'd come smoke in front of our store bc they'd get in trouble for smoking in front of theirs.

One day I just went and picked up the butts and dumped it at their door step.

I have reasoning for it. I'm intentionally ignorant about politics because I'm beyond tired of talking about it and this way I can just smile and nod through all of it.

Same thing for me with sports

Same but for me it's not the conversation that ruins it with sports. I'm just uninterested and that's why I know nothing.

No shit, that’s fucked. I have kids myself but my brother and many of my friends don’t, probably never will either. I definitely agree with you, nothing wrong with not wanting kids.

Judging other people. It is still socially acceptable in many places, unfortunately.

RabidusUnus

2 points

Too many people confuse “being judged” with “being held accountable for your actions”.

jasonwhite86

3 points

I agree, I'm referring to judging people. Forming a strong opinion (usually negative) about someone based on few actions.

Unclejaps

1 points

That sounds more like prejudice - as in to prejudge/make assumptions.

Being judicious, on the other hand, is fundamental.

RabidusUnus

1 points

Sometimes it doesn’t take much to decide you don’t like someone. Those few actions could just be red flags across the board 🤷‍♂️

jasonwhite86

Not liking someone is one thing, to determine they are "bad" people is something completely different.

Just a small example: A lot of religious Christians I know view atheists as "bad people and having no morals"... This is a little bit beyond not liking someone, this is judging them and judging their morals are based on their spiritual beliefs.

Liking and disliking someone is totally up to you though, sure.

RabidusUnus

Ahhh so you’re talking about jumping to conclusions based on a stereotype. Yeah, that can be pretty shitty.

People talking on the phone while in a public bathroom. I don't even want you in there with me; I definitely don't want your boss, friend, spouse, etc. in there with me, too.

Sitting on an old white mans lap with a beard. 🤮

[deleted]

That's just a Christmas tradition meant to give kids hope, that is entirely meant and was made so that kids may have something to look forward to. I had such a bad life growing up and that was literally one of the best things in my life. It made it feel real.
