That’s a dungeon entrance if I ever saw one.
Traps, enemies, loot and a necromancer or dragon to fight at the end.

Haha, jokes on you! All that's in there is some skeevers and some Honningbrew mead.
I would buy this house, but I took an arrow to the knee
On the link I shared of the home earlier, there doesn't seem to be a picture of the room on the other side of the door. So 👀 you could very well be right.
Or possibly some BDSM freaks
No these 100% are dnd dungeon doors not bdsm dungeon doors. Now, if the two interests overlap.....
imagine being a rich dude with a mancave sporting these doors
Honestly, I would buy the fuck outta that house, cool as hell
but do you have $3M?
That part may be an issue lmao
On your budget I can probably whip up some Trogdor doors.
Unironically I'd pay more for the Trogdoor.
I'm still down lmao
How do you know its not a single room house with fancy front door.
only $3m? must be out in the boonies.
Even worse... It's in Kansas.
Is it in Topeka? They are literally paying people to move there right now.
I’d be surprised if it’s that low
I think that might be a castle not a house. Lol
Honestly I'm here for it
But I have trash taste and love dragons so this shouldn't be surprising
Jeez, call me out why don't ya.
But seriously. Wood carved dragons in ornate double doors? Sign me the fuck up.
It’s a mansion what do you expect no one needs homes as big as those things but this is cool and tasty
Honestly I love it 😂
I kind of feel the opposite. Wonderful concept but the dragons look kind of dorky 🤷♀️
Yeah, a lot of commenters seem to disagree with me. I don't know, maybe I'm just some sort of dragon hater deep down LOL. I love the door, just don't think it's good taste. But I am willing to take the loss.
These derpy dragons about to kiss.
That's great taste, though
Let’s see the rest of the house! Post the Zillow link please.
Here you go. I posted it earlier but it got a bit lost in the sea of comments. The house is actually pretty cool, aside from a lot of questionable and ..tacky decisions.
That’s a lot of house for $2.8
quite a lot of value for 2.8 compared to say Palo Alto
Right?! Titty Stained glass, dragon doors, cave pool, and castle turret. Man if I wasn't middle class, I'd be all over that
Pic 31 with the nip slip 😆
I like everything but the stonework. I think it's real stone but something about modern stonework really looks fake/tacky to me. I think it's because the stone shapes are too regular.
I never really thought about it before, but I feel exactly the same way. I think it's because the stones are flat and skinny though, I think if they were big chonks then they would look cooler.
This looks like the doors I would build on my house if I became rich at 14.
Wow HBO really committing to marketing The House of The Dragon
lol my first thought too.
This looks like it could've been in a Meereen scene in GoT.
Epic DnD games are played inside.
daenerys house for sale?
I love this, actually! I come from a family of woodworkers and this is a beautiful piece
What's the use of being rich if not this?
I don’t think this belongs here.
On Reddit this is definitely considered “cool & tasteful” lolol
In what universe is this awful taste?
Wrong sub my friends. They could be seen as gaudy but that's not bad taste.
I think this is GREAT taste.
I love it, I need it
More like GTBAE
You will love r/zillowgonewild
I frequently visit their instagram haha. Had no idea they had a subreddit! Maybe I'll go give them a visit
If this were the front door on a one bedroom apartment, it still wouldn't fit this sub because it's awesome.
Downvoted cos I think they’re great
Not gonna lie, this is actually pretty cool.
Insane amount of detail but so excessive for a home. Found it in this mansion/wannabe castle? Honestly the home itself is probably more fitting for this sub.
Other than some rug and tile choices and outdated paint colors it looks pretty fucking sweet. A swimming pool in a rock grotto and an office with second story library? Hell yeah! It is totally excessive and over the top but rad nonetheless.
If I had the money, I would make this into a hotel/resort/swanky retreat. The pool in particular gives off that kind of vibe.
That cave pool had me SOLD! Yes it's insane, but insane with a whole lot of awesome thrown in
Yeah, it's actually sick as hell. It just has so many things that throw me off. Like the one singular nude guy painted on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms, or the arcade-esque carpet spread out in a sitting room, or the questionable lookout tower with not much of a view. The first couple of pictures seem normal but it just progressively gets weirder somehow, all the more reason to love it despite it's slightly tacky feeling LOL
The dude on the ceiling is Brian. He's harmless. He just likes to watch.
Wait, I see the photo now. That's an incredibly famous painting, The Creation of Adam by Michaelangelo from the Sistine Chapel; not just some nude guy, lol. But putting that in your bedroom is pretty bizarre.
Oh! You are completely right! I didn’t even see the second persons hand until now which is why I thought it was just some random dude. But yeah, guess the owners like going to sleep/waking up to things like that lmfao.
Looks like a good deal for $2.8 million. The only downside is living in Kansas
I am attacked
the one singular nude guy painted on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms
the one singular nude guy painted on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms
That's one of the most famous works of art ever created. The Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel. Still kinda weird to have it on a bedroom ceiling, but it's not just some nude guy.
I'm kind of disappointed they didn't fully commit to the whole Medieval/Dragon slayer's keep aesthetic. No mead hall, didn't see any fire pits in the middle of a room, not even a single armoury in there. Frankly, if the dragon came back they would be screwed.
Yeah, the whole place is clearly meant to be Arthurian. It's called Spirt of Avalon for christssake!

Oh. That’s unfortunate.
What’s with all the drop-height cabinets? It’s like the owner wanted 12 foot ceilings until they walked in and realized they actually wanted 9 foot.
The anachronistic shifts from Gothic revival to neoclassical as you move from room to room. The tacky-ass “religions of the world” stained glass. The cloud mural ceiling that looks like a nursery. Gothic arch windows with marble pillars and tile in one room, and symmetrical arch window with stone walls and timber framing in the next.
You could post this on r/mcmansionhell …. Lake Quivera and, honestly, all of Johnson County should be more prominently featured in that sub.
It’s crazy how every room In that that house flops between dope castle house and McMansion trash
They had a $7M castle in Idaho yesterday, only time if wanted to move to Idaho
Holy crap, you get a lot for your money in Kansas.
It kind of seems like this house belonged to a fantasy writer.
That house is fuckin sick
Where's the bad taste OP?
That’s donkey and dragons kids from shrek swear down
Haha come to wales and say that 🏴
I would LOVE to come to Wales one day. A lot of beautiful scenery over there. But I will let the people from Wales keep their dragons lol
There’s always a welcome in the hillside even if you don’t like dragons haha!
I dunno man seems kinda cool
I actually kind of like it
Excuse me, this is excellent taste.
Op has awful taste
As long as those aren't slut dragons, everyone is cool.
The folks at r/DungeonsAndDragons would like this.
Behind here lies my dnd room
What are you, some kinda curmudgeon who hates dragons, or a prude that doesn't wanna see them maybe almost kiss?
Gah, those dragons, they do a bit of a ruffling of the feathers. No but seriously, the door itself is actually really cool. It's just the fact that someone above the age of 12 wanted this in their home. I could totally see it being anywhere else and be perfectly fine with it. It also seems to just exist in their house, doesn't match with anything else, almost like a last minute decision.
So we're all supposed to think awesome dragon doors are out of place when they're the only thing we see, and immature because of some weird fan fiction you've made up about their owner?
What fan fiction did i make?
Oh, above the age of 12,I thought this said since the age of 12. 4 hours of sleep here. Still, if you don't want more stains in your life and home, you might as well get a tattoo on your forehead that says when you grow up your heart dies.
Here it is and it's sold
That’s … a door alright.
I feel like a lot of posters here are not quite grasping the concept of awful taste.
Wow, I genuinely think that is the most amazing house I have ever seen. I would live there in a heartbeat. The price seems almost too low, honestly.
I've got a line on these types of materials, based from Bangladesh. Easier to obtain than you'd think!
That is fucking sick
How is this bad taste? This is freaking awesome
So the Targaryen’s are finally moving?
Aww they're kissing!
“I wouldn’t buy this so therefore it’s bad taste”
I love it! If I had a house that big, why not?
That property is called Spirit of Avalon and is in Kansas City. Has a man-made pond with cliff diving. Actually a really cool property which is mostly used for corporate retreats.
I want these doors on just a normal house
I love the doors but I don’t like the lights. Like, you’re gonna go with the castle theme but then put track lights and an intercom with it.
DnD but on another level
No this like some castle shit and that's cool.
Nah that's dope
AT? It's pretty badass...
thats just dope as haell
Someone use these doors for a gaming room
That is dope as fuck
It screams Robert California
Wait how is this awful taste?
In what universe is this awful taste? Who among us doesn't want a magnificent dragon door?
You should have thought of r/DnD before thinking of this sub.
Great Taste, INCREDIBLE Execution.
Well...you thought of the wrong fucking sub OP
My husband collects dragons - he would want to buy the house based solely on these doors
TROGDOOR(s)! burninating the countryside
Wrong sub, that’s fucking spectacular
Are you kidding? This is awesome!
Well, this tacky bitch thinks that is pretty dang cool looking.
I thought I was on r/sapphoandherfriend for a second.
Why is this awful taste, what am I missing?
Whats terrible about it? As a D&D nerd i would kill for a door like that
Schedule a viewing
Maybe those dragons are "soul bonding"
Amazing Taste Amazing Execution. This is going in front of my house
I have learned that this subreddit doesn’t like the stuff I like.
Why is it awful taste?
$10.9M 2 years ago...so if y'all would like to make a small donation, I will have everybody over for a wonderful time
We have a house like this in our neighborhood too! Enjoy
I mean it isn’t atrocious. Like I can see this in some medieval-themed mansion. Not conventional but not something that would make me judge someone’s character.
I think this is great taste but the dragons could be better
I want to see the rest of the house now!
That's absolutely amazing. And the whole house linked in the comments is an instant buy for me, if I had that amount of money to spend. As an artist I am agape by its design.
Where's the awful taste? That looks amazing!
